Keeping monsters actively involved in the game world while you're navigating it created some moments, unique to myself, that scared the shit out of me.įor example. Amnesia was close to doing the same, but every monster appearance turned into a simple scripted moment, and then it would disappear and never return. However, the unscripted, more dynamic aspects of the game caught me a great deal.
